My favorite thing about life is that everyday is a new chance. If you buggered it up yesterday, today could be the day you get it right.
It’s raining here this morning. In addition to the sun not being up it’s wet and icky. I offered to drive the goose to the bus stop. She took one look at me. I saw for an instant what she saw. Wild woman hair. Fabulous fuzzy robe. Hands tightly wrapped around coffee cup. I saw her process the best way ask me to….well…not be me. What she said was, “can you at least put on some pants.”
“nope” I grabbed my purse and threw the strap over my head, like you see the Germans doing in museums. “I will however, get out of the car to wave good bye, and if you’re a really good girl I’ll moon the whole bus for you.”
She couldn’t help herself. She had to laugh, and barely forced out a half hearted groan.
See, another day, another chance.
