1)I love hotel ice maker ice.
2) $3.50 is not unreasonable cost for mini cranberry juice when you are living large. Ok so maybe they shouldn’t have trusted me with the mini bar key.
3) it’s a good day when you giggle falling into a king sized bed that you aren’t sharing with anyone
4)I’m not sure that it’s helpful for the parting words of the pilot to be “don’t drown, turn around”….
5) fellas really do wear cowboy boots and suites in Texas, but they don’t have tattoos in the country. At least that’s what the boot suit wearing cowboy told me on the elevator.
6)I don’t want to sound mean, but I feel the need to tell people that short shorts aren’t for everyone. It doesn’t make the cutest mother daughter look.
7)Commando is no way to fly. Or I may have under packed.
8)There should be a law against cracking gum the duration of 3 hour flights.
9)There should be a law against dueling crying babies on 3 hour flights. Glad I wasn’t the mother of any of these babies. And that my seat was by the engine. Even if the gum cracker was right behind me.
10) it is so good to be home!
And one to grow on
They say that behind every successful man is a strong woman. The same needs to be said of the successful woman of today. My opinion of family values may differ from Bush or Romney but the sentiment is the same. First, it takes a village to raise a family. I had loving parents, but you can tell from my writing that my extended family was very influential as well. I could not do the work I do were it not for stubby hubs hunk and our parents. I have always considered being a mother as my primary job. It remains the most important, but as my kids have gotten older and their needs of me have changed, I have filled that void with good work. It’s what helps to fuel me. It’s also my way of giving back because my life has been filled with so many gifts.
A happy mother is a happy home.
I couldn’t do it alone.
Thank you to you all!
